 Info  As of April 2023, the MyLink, MyHorizon and MyLarkfield apps are being moved to an improved system. Unfortunately, there is a known fault meaning the apps may not work on, or be downloaded to, newer Android phones or phones running Android version 12.0.0_r46 . We are working with our supplier to resolve this as soon as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Who we are? 

We are Larkfield Housing Association, 14 Lothian Road, Greenock PA16 0PG, the operator of ‘MyLarkfield’.  We are responsible for the processing as well as the protection of your personal data submitted through MyLarkfield.  

 What is MyLarkfield? 

MyLarkfield is an application which allows you to record a number of service requests relating to your tenancy with Larkfield, provide access to your information stored on our housing management system relating to your rent, payments and repairs.

The type of personal information we collect from you

We do not process any of your personal data when you first download the MyLarkfield app.  The app acts as a way for you to access the personal data held in our housing management system to manage your tenancy with us. 

When you first open the MyLarkfield app, you will be asked if we can collect anonymous statistics about usage of the app.  We use the anonymised information to identify how many people are using the app and what types of service requests they are making. 

When you log into the app will display the following categories of personal data:  

  • Full name 
  • Full address including postcode  
  • Telephone number  
  • Email address
  • Tenancy reference number 

How we get the personal information and why we have it

MyLarkfield is a window to information held on Link’s housing management system and we process your personal data to allow you to access this information in an easily accessible and mobile-friendly format.

We use the information that you provide via the app to deal with any service requests or questions you submit.  The app also allows you to update your existing information, like your telephone number or to add any new members to your  household.  

We may share this information with staff within the organisation, DWP or the local authority for your area.  

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored as part of our housing management system. 

How long we keep your personal information

We review our data retention periods regularly and will only hold your personal data for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as required by law (we may be legally required to hold some types of information), or as set out in any relevant contract we have with you.

Your rights

Your right of access

You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectify

You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure

You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to restriction of processing

You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

Your right to object to processing

You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances . However, if Link can demonstrate that there is a compelling reason to process such personal data then we may refuse to stop processing your personal data.  

Your right to data portability

You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
